About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mattermost Engineer to join our team and help build, configure, and maintain a seamless Mattermost collaboration platform. As a Mattermost Engineer, you will be responsible for the deployment, customization, and administration of the platform, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability. You ll work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate Mattermost into our ecosystem and improve real-time communication and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation & Deployment:

    • Set up and configure Mattermost servers in on-premise, hybrid, or cloud environments.
    • Automate deployments using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Docker.

  • Customization & Integration:

    • Customize themes, plugins, and APIs to meet the organization s requirements.
    • Integrate Mattermost with existing systems (LDAP, Active Directory, Jira, GitHub, etc.).

    • Administration & Maintenance:

      • Monitor platform performance and troubleshoot issues.
      • Manage security, user permissions, and data compliance within the Mattermost environment.
      • Perform regular upgrades and backups to ensure platform reliability and security.

      • Collaboration & Support:

        • Collaborate with DevOps and IT teams to align communication infrastructure with organizational goals.
        • Provide technical support, user training, and documentation for employees.

        • Continuous Improvement:

          • Evaluate and implement new features to enhance the Mattermost experience.
          • Monitor logs and metrics to proactively identify and resolve issues.
            • Required Skills & Experience
            • Proven experience with Mattermost installation, customization, and administration.
            • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration and scripting.
