Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 4+ years of technical experience directly working with Wi-Fi in computer architecture and data communications& experience in WLAN
- Experience with Wireless technology testing which includes Wireless AP’s, Routers, Wireless extenders & Wireless standards (802.11b/g/n/ac/ax)
- Knowledge of real-world wireless environments
- Experience working with TCP/IP, UDP, IPv4/IPv6 addressing, Ethernet, DHCP, DNS, ICMP, ARP, NAT, Bridging, Switching
- Familiarity with industry standard Wi-Fi test tools like Veriwave, IXIA Chariot and packet debuggers like Wireshark, Omnipeek and Savius
- Preferable knowledge in secondary home networking technologies such as Bluetooth, Zigbee, MoCA, and Ethernet in a DOCSIS environment
- Preferable knowledge of wi-fi extenders
- Comfortable in some scripting language of choice
- Must be able to work independently
- Excellent Debugging skills & experience troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of UNIX-based systems and command-line tools for analysis, and automation Excellent written and verbal communication skills
