Job Summary:

A highly regarded US manufacturer of components and services to the North American electrical industry is looking for a FP&A/Cost Analyst located in our Cincinnati headquarters. Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Analyst will be responsible for Inventory Accounting, commodity pricing reviews, and work order and inventory cost analysis. Additional duties will touch the monthly and yearly financial close, audit support as needed, developing templates & tools that identify the levers to move the business forward, and strategic projects in support of business growth.

Reports to: VP Finance

Primary Job Responsibilities include:

  • Inventory Accounting
    • Inventory and Labor booking
    • Inventory GL and sub-ledger reconciliation
    • Pre-costing controls e.g. monitoring indirect WOs and purchase orders
    • Customer and Product Line P&Ls
  • Commodity Pricing Reviews - In coordination with Purchasing, monitor commodity pricing and downstream impact to the P&L
  • Work Order and Inventory Cost Analysis – closely monitor first step inventory instruments
    • Indirect WOs and Purchase Order alignment to the GL and product lines
    • Synchronization of Work Orders, Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, and Inventory Masters
  • Assist in Month & Year End Closing Activities
  • Audit support
  • Strategic and forward-looking projects and initiatives
Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with team members/leaders
  • Working experience in ERP and financial software
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft productivity suite, particularly Excel
  • Positive attitude, goal-oriented, and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Dependable, flexible, and ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Ability to multi-task with excellent time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business or related discipline
  • Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Data mining experience
  • Job costing or manufacturing background
  • Proficiency in Power BI
  • Global Shop ERP and Pervasive dBase
