PURPOSE OF POSITION : Functions as the Technology/Subject Matter expert supporting complex Infrastructure inter dependent systems. Works closely with Infrastructure leadership to meet strategic and tactical objectives set by the businesses. Works

directly with client facing customers to support the development of stated business goals into functional and technology requirements. Works under general supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or the equivalent required.

Experience:

Minimum 6+ years diverse Information Technology experience including Network, Open Systems, and various Microsoft and Unix platforms required. Ability to support cross-functional IT Teams within a mature SDLC, and

ITIL framework required. The ability to make good judgments, work effectively with all levels of clients and IT management and staff, and work at the highest technical level of all phases of system design and implementation

required. good technical knowledge and understanding of Microsoft, Virtual Computing, Storage Area Networking, Firewall, Networking Concepts, Security, and scripting required. good understanding of Data Centers and best practice design

principles required. Effective oral/written communication required.

responsibilities:

* Provides comprehensive consultation to business unit and IT management and staff at the highest technical level for all phases of the project development cycle.*

* Works closely with client management to identify and specify the complex business requirements and processes for diverse development platforms, computing environments (i.e., host based, distributed systems, client server), software, hardware, technologies and tools, etc.

* Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost effective solution for the system design.

* Provides input to project plans, analyzes and designs systems.

* Helps the Leads, guides and provides technical support and training to others in group on various technology systems.

* Provides highly technical consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies, which assist the functional business units in meeting their strategic objectives.

* Acts as SME / technical resource to development staff in all phases of the development and implementation process.

* Develops technical standards and guidelines for Infrastructure processes. Assists in planning, organizing and controlling the activities/duties of the area and in the development of the overall project plans and timetables.

* Conducts analysis on third party products and related interface design.

* Functions as system administrator for third party products.

* Participates on special project teams and performs other duties as assigned.
