Responsibilities
Peraton has a great opportunity for a UI Developer in Chantilly, VA supporting an Intelligence Community (IC) customer. At the heart of national security, we've been embedded into this cutting-edge program for nearly a decade. You will be working in a rewarding, mission focused environment, cutting edge software design, development, and deployment, contributing to the protection and defense of national space assets. Your efforts will fundamentally change what Space Domain Awareness and Mission Protection means for our Nation.
Skyfire is a Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Indications and Warning (I&W) system. Its purpose is to establish a repository of resident space objects (RSOs), find RSOs of interest, and provide data to ground operators. Located in Chantilly, VA, the Skyfire team uses: sensor modeling, and systems engineering expertise to deliver this world-class SDA I&W system.
What you'll do:
The person in this role will work with the Skyfire development team supporting the UI framework based on open-source technologies. This will also involve creating UI components for the Skyfire application that involve both front end and backend development mainly in JavaScript and Java. We are seeking a detailed oriented, critical thinker with expertise in UI and Java best practices.
On-site work required for this position.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Associates degree in a related field and 4+ years of experience; OR bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 2+ years of experience. Four (4) years of additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Linux with bash command line experience (i.e. ssh, vi, etc.)
Experience in JavaScript, HTML/DOM, CSS/Sass, jQuery, MVC JavaScript frameworks.
Direct experience with Postgres SQL, Hibernate, Spring, JAX-RS REST APIs.
This position requires the candidate possess a minimum of Top-Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI and pass a polygraph within 30 days of employment or at customers request- contract requires TS/SCI with poly. The candidate must maintain the clearance.

Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, Rancher.
Kafka, ActiveMQ, Redis, Ansible.
Aerospace background.

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
