Job Description

AECOM is seeking a multifaceted professional to serve as a Project Controls Analyst II , based in New York, NY. The successful candidate will work closely with the the Metro NY senior management team in the Transportation business line. This role involves financial analysis, project management, and reporting responsibilities to ensure the successful completion of multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for small projects.

  • Support project cost reviews and reporting, tracking purchase orders, subcontract commitments, and expenditures.

  • Assist in scope control, change management, and performance management processes.

  • Perform financial, economic, and qualitative data collection and analysis across multiple projects

  • Monitor key project financial metrics, tracking performance and preparing forecasts on a monthly and quarterly basis.

  • Conduct research, analysis, and prepare reports and presentations to support business/financial planning and operations.

  • Collect and analyze data for trending, forecasting, and manpower/labor cost tracking.

  • Support Project Managers in managing company project management software systems.

  • Create and manage spreadsheets, databases, and reports using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other business intelligence tools.

  • Utilize project management and scheduling software such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint for analysis and reporting tasks.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS + 2 years of relevant experience

  • Experience working for an AEC/MEP company

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.

  • Strong quantitative analysis skills, especially under tight time constraints.


Preferred Requirements:

  • 4 years of experience working in financial controls/payroll coordination

  • Working knowledge of industry software (e.g., Oracle Primavera P6, Revit) and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).

  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks and work with technical and administrative personnel at different levels.

  • Excellent communication skills, with a proactive approach to asking questions and learning from co-workers.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $80,000.00 - $95,000.00.
