Job Title - QA Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers, including performance reviews, career development, and resource planning.
  • Test Strategy Development: Define and implement comprehensive QA strategies, processes, and standards to ensure product quality.
  • Test Planning: Oversee the creation of test plans, test cases, and test scripts for manual and automated testing.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet or exceed company quality standards before release.
  • Defect Management: Monitor and manage defect identification, reporting, tracking, and resolution.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development, product management, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritize testing efforts, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Automation: Drive the adoption of test automation practices and tools to improve testing efficiency.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve QA processes and methodologies to optimize quality and efficiency.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports and metrics on testing progress, quality metrics, and defect status to senior management.
  • Compliance: Ensure the QA processes comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Customer Focus: Incorporate customer feedback into QA processes to enhance product quality.

Requirements:

  • Experience:
    • 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 3+ years in a managerial or leadership role.
    • Experience in both manual and automated testing practices.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of testing methodologies, software development life cycle (SDLC), and Agile development practices.
    • Familiarity with testing tools like Selenium, JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail, or QTest.
    • Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit) is a plus.
  • Leadership Skills:
    • Proven track record of managing and leading QA teams.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Educational Qualification:
    • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certifications:
    • Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or CSQA are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline integration.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Familiarity with cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Background in the domain specific to the company (e.g., fintech, healthcare, e-commerce).
