Job Summary

The Chief Technology Officer establishes and directs the strategic and tactical goals, policies and procedures for all of the Information Technology division. Partners with other senior leaders to create, establish, and maintain the strategic vision for all of information technology. Influences business change strategy and maintains technology and data roadmap changes for all businesses/support all functions. Periodically give updates on products, risks and issues to the technology board committee. Accountable for the definition of a Cloud first and modern API strategy. Develop and implement a data center consolidation plan. Responsible for developing an employee experience strategy to leverage modern tools and capabilities. Own and operate the incident management crisis management and service desk functions. Establish service level agreements and partnerships with technology peers and line of business partners. Partner with the Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery leader to enforce and execute DR standards and oversee readiness for resiliency standards quarterly.

Job Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate all activities of Information Technology (IT) Operations for the following: Infrastructure Engineering, Infrastructure Operations and Monitoring, Storage Management, Middleware and Release Management, Cloud Engineering, Enterprise Platforms, Service Management and API Platform.
  • Develops and implements the IT strategic plan and provides updates to the board.
  • Assist with and prioritizing the IT needs of all of areas. Meet with Senior Management Team members regularly to assure strategic and tactical goals are being met.
  • IT governance including data security policies, IT policy and administration, change control, vendor management, risk controls, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), GLB, Privacy Act, KYC, etc.
  • Prepares and manages annual IT budget and prepares and delivers quarterly reviews to the CIO and management technology committee.
  • Manages staff, including performance reviews, time and attendance, workflow management and employee relations. Responsible for employee development and retention.
  • Works closely with subordinate employees to implement changes in workflow or procedures.

Additional Accountabilities

  • Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Education level required: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent).
  • Minimum experience required: 15+ Years of management of an IT/Operations area of a financial services company.
  • 10+ years’ experience managing large cross-functional teams and large domains of business technology with strategically influencing senior level management and key stakeholders.
  • 10+ years’ experience of large bank including OCC and regulatory oversight.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education level preferred: Master's Degree (or Postgraduate equivalent).

  • Strong business skills, banking experience and vendor management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with senior management and all levels in the organization.

  • Regular travel will be required.
