As a n Associate Security Engineer at CoStar Group, you will support and engineer our information security program. You will be assisting the CoStar Group team by analyzing suspicious incidents and events, conducting validation on those incidents, taking action to remediate , escalate or otherwise prosecute the incidents to completion. In addition, you will assist us with monitoring and responding to operational requests. Responsible for network security, intrusion detection, theft prevention and DDOS prevention. Responsibilities include server patching, incident investigation, secure server configurations, credit card protection , SOX compliance. Participates in network design and physical system design to ensure a secure infrastructure.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current college senior at an accredited , not-for-profit college or university, with an expected graduation date of May 202 5 , studying Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field


  • 3-6 + months of internship experience required working with any of the following disciplines:


  • Cybersecurity


  • Application Development


  • Database Administration


  • Information Technology


  • Demonstrated knowledge of network security and firewall technologies, scripting / programming ( Powershell , Bash, Perl, and Python )


  • Good oral and written communication skills


  • Detail-oriented


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills like those found in the below certifications are a plus:

  • Sec+


  • CySA +


  • Security Operation Center experience

This position offers a base salary range of $85,000 - $95,000, based on relevant skills and experience and includes a generous benefits plan.
