Location: Denver, CO

Shift: 7:00am to 5:00pm (Monday thru Thursday)

Department: Maintenance/Technical Services

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary:

As a Machine Service Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring all machinery and equipment used in our steel supply operations are operating efficiently and safely. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various types of machinery used in the processing and distribution of steel products.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machinery to ensure optimal performance.

Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs on equipment such as cutters, shears, bending machines, and other metal fabrication tools.

Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.

Respond to machine breakdowns and work efficiently to minimize downtime.

Keep detailed records of maintenance work, repairs, and machine performance issues.

Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.

Train and guide other maintenance staff on machine operations and safety procedures.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

Technical diploma or certification in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field.

Proven experience as a machine technician, preferably in a steel supply or manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.

Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, when necessary.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.

Comfortable working in industrial environments, including exposure to loud noises, heat, and dust.
