Description

SAIC is seeking an IT Systems Engineer to join our energized Digital Engineering Ecosystem Team of solution architects and digital engineers to define and build the infrastructure and software that fuels the Digital Engineering Transformation across our entire industry. Our work creating digital ecosystems span an exciting variety of programs, customers and corporate initiatives requiring Digital Engineering and Model Based Engineering applications and infrastructure deployed in Defense, Federal Civilian, and/or National Security environments.

Responsibilities:

In this position, you will be responsible for help desk support, deploying new Digital Engineering cloud-based infrastructures for our internal and external customers.. The chosen candidate will manage user requests, troubleshoot and resolve user issues, develop infrastructure requirements and architectures to include security, network sizing, provisioning, monitoring and maintenance. The candidate will also be responsible for deploying, automating and maintaining these digital engineering ecosystems and the resident applications on the target infrastructures. The chosen candidate will provide direct support to the Virtually Integrated Program Repository (VIPR) and well as direct contract support to the tenant programs within VIPR.as part of the larger digital engineering team.

As part of our Digital Engineering, you will engage with program personnel and other digital engineering subject matter experts and foster broader understanding of the Digital engineering infrastructure and ecosystems to assist them in developing digital work products. You will also be required to engage with the larger community (Industry, Government, and Academia) to stay up to date with latest trends and emerging technologies, approaches, methods, and techniques to further mature and or increase our digital engineering capabilities, and to mentor others on our solutions and standards

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship is required.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience deploying cloud-based applications. Master's in information technology and three (1) year of experience. Will consider additional years of experience in lieu of education.

Experience with Cloud architecture and application deployments on AWS Cloud or MS Azure

Familiarity with help desk operations and supporting a diverse user base.

Familiarity with DevOps and Infrastructure as Code methodologies such as Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.

Experience with Linux servers and Windows Servers in a virtualized environment

Familiarity with the fundamentals of bash and Powershell scripting
  • Experience with SW development (Java, Java Script, C#, C++, Modern Web Frameworks)

Basic understanding of IT network infrastructure components including database services, application services, web services, network services, back-up services and network infrastructure protocols

Ability to troubleshoot problems reported by users and analyze and isolate issues

Proven ability to work effectively and collaborate in a dynamic, fast paced, team oriented environment.

Ability to get certified in AWS Security specialty within the first 6 month of being hired.

Desired Qualifications

  • AWS Cloud Certifications - Solution Architect and/or Developer

Experience in containerization in areas such as Kubernetes and/or Docker
  • Experience architecting, administering, deploying and maintaining enterprise Digital Engineering tools such as IBM's Jazz suite (DNG, RQM, RMM, RTC), Cameo EA, Product Lifecycle Management tools such as Aras Innovator, PTC, TeamCenter, Dassault's 3Dx Platform)
  • Experience supporting US Federal Government agencies and processes
  • Experience or Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology

Able to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI clearance as needed

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
