Your Role
The Pharmacy team provides pharmacy benefit management services and strategies to support Blue Shield of California's affordability and membership goals. The Sr. Manager, Program and Project Management will provide pharmacy accounts and sales support and will report to the Director, Pharmacy Services. In this role, you will support pharmacy membership growth and retention strategies and initiatives. Additionally, this role is responsible for the leadership of the pharmacy accounts and sales support team to support employer group account management and client renewal, as well as new membership acquisition activities for fully insured and self-funded pharmacy membership. This role will also play a critical part in supporting pharmacy products and initiative strategies development. Pay Range:
The pay range for this role is: $136,400.00 to $204,600.00 for California.

Your Work
In this role, you will:
- Partner with business unit teams to support planning and develop pharmacy strategies that align with business unit growth and profitability objectives
- Partner with business unit sales and manage team to develop and complete competitive pharmacy request for proposal (RFP) strategies and responses
- Partner with underwriting to develop pharmacy pricing and guarantee strategy approach for self-funded groups to improve competitive position
- Lead development and maintenance of integrated pharmacy value story to support membership growth and retention
- Manage team and work cross-functionally as needed to manage and resolve pharmacy client issues, respond to day-to-day client inquiries and ensure client contract guarantees and deliverables are met
- Manage team to provide pharmacy consultative support, and support development of training tools, presentations, sales collaterals on pharmacy product offerings and value proposition as needed to support sales
- Actively participate in client renewals, brokers meetings, and finalist presentation as needed to promote pharmacy value proposition
QUALIFICATIONS
Your Knowledge and Experience
- Requires a college degree or equivalent experience
- Requires 10 years of prior relevant experience, including 4 years of management experience
- Prior experience in presenting pharmacy program value and observations to clients, brokers, and consultants is preferred
- Prior experience in pharmacy benefit client contracting with understanding of contracting tactics and marketplace requirements is preferred
- Excellent presentation, verbal, and written skills with the ability to understand and convey complex ideas to audience with diverse backgrounds is preferred
- Strong business acumen with proven experience in strategy development and planning is preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is preferred
