Position Overview

The Senior Lending Administrator (SLA) is responsible for managing a team of commercial loan processors and lending staff (AVP Relationship Managers and Loan Portfolio Managers). Providing administrative oversight, the SLA holds their team accountable for their respective responsibilities to ensure administrative deadlines are consistently met. The SLA must be and effective communicator and keep their team apprised of strategic information at all times. The SLA builds and maintains effective working relationships and develops and implements strategies to improve efficiencies between cross functional departments. Working closely with executive management, the SLA will ensure loan portfolio objectives are met.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide general guidance, coaching and supervision of AVP Relationship Managers and Loan Portfolio Managers, focused on effective communication with borrowers and lending-related internal departments, efficient lending processes, and maintaining lending compliance.
  • Prepare board of director reports on behalf of CLO.
  • Gather data and analyze reports for executive team review, including loan pipeline, past due loans, overdrafts and tickler reports.
  • Create and execute plans to ensure efficient coordination between lending departments such as loan processing, note department and credit administration.
  • Act as lending lead for loan origination software (Abrigo) implementation.
  • Ensure tickler management process is working effectively (reminder letters sent on time, files organized, etc.).
  • Facilitate training and learning opportunities between lending and credit administration teams.
  • Work with the accounting department to administer the lending team incentive compensation plans.
  • Hold the team accountable for meeting administrative and training deadlines and ensuring timely and complete loan approval package submission.
  • Manage a loan portfolio, as required.

Requirements

Requisite Skills:

Required Education & Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of commercial lending experience required
  • Minimum 15 years of client relations experience required
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or accounting strongly preferred

  • Loan processing staff, AVP Relationship Managers and Loan Portfolio Managers.
