Description
The Industrial Electrician will be responsible for the construction of UL508a or UL698a listed control panels as designed by the Electrical Engineer. Additionally, you will be responsible for wiring industrial equipment during construction in alignment to the electrical E&I drawings, as it relates to the associated motors, drives, instruments (thermocouples, valves, solenoids, flow meters), etc. Overall, you will ensure the continued functioning of electrical equipment by its proper installation. You must be able to understand technical documents, such as schematics, that detail job instructions. You must also adhere to the statutory codes that apply to your work. A fundamental understanding of NFPA 70E and NEC codes is a plus.

Essential Functions
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment.
- Awareness of electrical codes and regulations, as well as NFPA 70E and NEC codes is, a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Prior experience in an E&I role, a plus.
- Journeyman experience or the completion of an apprenticeship program.
- Motivated self-starter who can manage projects and make decisions.
- Willing to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lift heavy objects, climbing ladders, crawling, etc.
- Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLC ladder logic code, a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience And/Or Training
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- 3 – 5 years of industrial electrician experience or prior E&I experience
- Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics and one-line diagrams.
- Ability to read a tape measure
