Position Summary

Under the broad policy guidance of the Bureau of Information Technology Services (BITS) Development, DBA, and Middleware Supervisor, this lead-worker position provides expert-level team leadership in the design, development and implementation of hosting platforms, transition automation, and the engineering of ETFs continuous integration and delivery pipeline from inception to completion. This position provides coaching and team leadership for developing and maintaining highly complex system robotics, hosting platforms, and system integrations. This includes maintaining and systematizing legacy systems, adoption of new systems, incorporating commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software, and amalgamation of Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions. This position provides leadership in all aspects of collaboration, hosting, and pipeline automation and further adoption of DevOps principals including strategy, technical design, development, implementation, governance, observability, support, and testing utilizing mainframe, web, mobile, cloud platforms and Software as a Service (SaaS).

Salary Information

This position is in classification IS Systems Development Services Consultant/Administrator (pay schedule/range 07-32), with an annual salary of $104,000 - $123,468, plus excellent benefits. Pay for current and new state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan in effect at the time of hire.

Job Details

ETF offers hybrid remote/office work. The selected employee must report to ETF's office on the first day of employment, occasionally for onsite meetings, and as project needs require. All employees are expected to be headquartered and work within the state of Wisconsin.

ETF does not sponsor work visas. Any appointment made will be contingent on the applicant being able to prove valid status to work in the United States.

A 12-month probationary is required.

Qualifications

Minimally Qualified candidates will have experience in all of the following:
  • Experience designing and supporting solutions in a Linux server and/or cloud hybrid environment.
  • Implementing and supporting DevOps technologies such as WebSphere, Liberty, Tomcat, MuleSoft, JIRA, GitHub, Git, Selenium, Dynatrace, Control-M, Python, Java, and other open-source software.
  • Providing leadership to a team of employees (this may include leading a team in accomplishing a project or assignment, training others to complete a task, providing feedback on work etc.).

Highly Qualified candidates will also have experience (or certifications as applicable) with some of the following:
  • ITIL experience (such as Incident, Service Request, or Change ticket management) and/or certification.
  • DevOps certification
  • Formal supervisory or lead worker experience performing duties such as coaching, guiding, training others, directing/assigning work, reviewing work, providing performance feedback, etc
