OVERVIEW

The Petroleum Scheduling Analyst Intern will work with our Petroleum Supply Management (PSM) Department on special projects and assignments related to the departmental objectives. This opportunity will provide a striving and dynamic work environment that will test and develop analytical, technical, and problem-solving abilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)

  • Assisting in conducting research and analysis on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to support decision-making processes.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop recommendations for optimizing supply chain operations.
  • Assisting in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in supply management activities.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of databases, spreadsheets, and other tools for data analysis and reporting purposes.
  • Assisting in preparing presentations and reports summarizing findings and recommendations for management review.
  • Assisting in coordinating and participating in meetings, conferences, and other events related to petroleum supply management.
  • Assisting in tracking and evaluating key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Staying updated on industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices in petroleum supply management.
  • Assisting in creating and distributing market analysis.
  • Assisting in supply and demand forecast analysis.
  • Provide reporting and documentation to Supply Manager and other department members as needed.

  • QUALIFICATIONS

    Education
    • In the process of undergraduate studies with coursework in Petroleum, Energy, Finance, or Trade related field of study preferred
    • Minimum 3.0 GPA

    Experience
    • Candidates with prior internship experience are preferred
    • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
    • Strong communication skills, including written and verbal
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Resourceful self-starter with a strong sense of urgency
    • Strong professionalism and customer service skills
