We are looking for a talented Territory Sales - Field Sales Account Executive - Senior to join our team specializing in Sales for our corporate office in Sacramento, CA.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Identify and Develop New Opportunities: By researching and contacting prospective customers, you will expand the business and open new sales channels.

Build and Strengthen Customer Relationships: Your efforts in developing and executing account plans will foster strong, lasting relationships with both new and existing customers.

Understand Customer Needs: By identifying and understanding customer needs, you will tailor Cummins solutions to meet their specific requirements, enhancing customer satisfaction.

Drive Sales and Achieve Targets: Your proactive approach in conducting face-to-face sales calls and negotiations will help you meet and exceed sales goals.

Manage Accounts Receivables: By assisting with collections and maintaining acceptable levels of past due accounts, you will ensure financial stability and smooth operations.

Collaborate for Customer Satisfaction: Working with internal stakeholders and customers, you will resolve issues and balance inventory, service, and delivery capabilities to meet customer expectations.

Utilize Sales Tools and Processes: Consistently using the Cummins Sales Process and Customer Relationship Management tools will streamline your sales activities and improve efficiency.

Mentor and Lead: Providing guidance and mentoring to less experienced account executives will help build a stronger, more capable sales team.

Value Proposition: Clearly articulate and demonstrate the strengths and weaknesses of products, solutions, and services to meet customer needs and differentiate from competitors.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

Required: College, university, or equivalent degree in Marketing, Sales or a related subject, or acceptable sales related work experience, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.

Additional Details:

Develop assigned territory via prospecting, qualifying leads, following up on referrals, setting up appointments, making sales presentations, etc. to maximize sales potential and Cummins reputation.

Foster and maintain relationships with assigned client base by establishing rapport and building trust.

Recommend and sell manufactured generator sets, accessories and related equipment utilizing knowledge of power generation equipment.

Analyze customer needs and interests and determine how company products and services can best meet their needs.

Achieve sales goals and forecasts, as established by the department and the organization. Assist in marketing and sale of new products and/or prototypes to the existing marketplace.

Work closely with our Field Service Director, Service Coordinator, and generator technicians.

This role is a role within Commercial Power Generation.
