Position Summary

The Assistant Director of Online Programs develops and manages programs, leads strategic initiatives, and oversees faculty training for the Tisch School of the Arts Special Program department. They provide high-touch, personal service to students and faculty, independently create and implement innovative pedagogies, and collaborate with subject matter experts to create course content.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree

Required Experience:
3+ years Relevant professional experience in academic administration. Experience coordinating operations and collaborating with faculty; and familiarity with online learning and instructional technology.

Preferred Experience:
3+ years academic and/or performing or cinematic arts, or emerging media environment

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and student service skills are essential, along with strong organizational and relationship-building skills. Proven ability to work collaboratively to meet organizational goals. Experience implementing and deploying technology projects for media and video/audio production in online education. Strength in coordinating, scheduling, reviewing, tracking, troubleshooting, and adapting project efforts. Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively, on multiple projects simultaneously. Passion for, understanding of, and commitment to inclusion, diversity, belonging, equity, and accessibility.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Demonstrated capacity to think strategically and execute tactically, practice creative problem-solving, and respond well in a fast-paced, continually evolving environment. Google Docs, Qualtrics, or other survey software, as well as data and web analytics experience. Problem triage, escalation, and troubleshooting skills are desirable. Image, graph, and chart creation and editing skills are desirable.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $90,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
