The Global Communications team is seeking a data-savvy communications professional to lead our insights and analytics practice. In this role, you'll be the bridge between data insights and communications strategy, helping our team to make informed decisions and measure the impact of our work.

As part of our communications function, you'll serve as the lead on channel management and optimization, driving production and publishing, analytics, measurement, and web governance across Corporate Communications. This leader will oversee our channels and partner closely with the IT team to define the needs for future functionalities, releases, and platform capabilities.

The Director, Channel Insights & Analytics will identify opportunities to drive a best-in-class digital experience for the company. This leader will also work closely with the Head of Digital Content and Enterprise Social Media Teams to optimize content performance and ensure that the appropriate channel is chosen for content and campaigns, and actively measure the results and response to inform future execution.

The director will also partner with the IT team, internal subject matter experts, and agency partners to diversify and test paid social and search campaign strategies with the goal of increasing traffic and engagement across .com content. The director will leverage social listening data to identify content opportunities, trends and gaps, as well as potential reputational risks. The candidate will work across communications to optimize social listening advancements and capabilities to drive improved brand impact and strategy.

This individual will supervise a team that manages the production and publishing across our channels including corporate website, intranet, and internal employee e-mails. Success in this role will require a broad understanding of the content development process along with strong collaboration across content experts, creative, channel teams including Enterprise Social Media, external agencies and the IT Corporate Communications value team lead.

Responsibilities includes:

  • Develop and maintain a brand reputation framework standard.
  • Analyze data spanning web metrics, media coverage, social media metrics, and market research to provide actionable insights to comms teams and business partners across the enterprise.
  • Drive channel strategy and management in collaboration with a cross-functional team and the IT team across the enterprise.
  • Deliver social media listening optimization in collaboration with the communications teams and technical teams across the enterprise.
  • Execute content through the appropriate channels In line with the communications strategic plan.
  • Develop a metrics plan for each channel and actively monitor, synthesize data into insights, and make recommendations to optimize content and channels.
  • Coordinate with Head of Digital Content and Social Media teams on communication performance metrics, customer insights and lead plans to optimize owned and earned media.
  • Establishes benchmarks and actively monitors brand reputation, identifying actionable insights.
  • Identifies market research needs and collaborates across in-house market research team, agency partners, and subject matter experts.
  • Lead a metrics working group across Global Communications to ensure that the communication strategy is driven by data and insights.
  • Supports optimization of social media listening strategy COE and support model
  • Continuously study trends in channels and how that impacts the company channel strategy.


Location/Commute:
  • Applicant must have ability to work from our headquarter site in Rahway, NJ
  • We offer Hybrid Work Model (combination of 3 days In-office & 2 days offsite/remote).
  • This position cannot be 100% remote.


Education Minimum Requirement:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 8 or more years of communications experience OR
  • High School diploma with at least 10 years of equivalent experience which could include: communications, media, and/or military.


Required Skills
  • 10+ years of experience managing channels, in-house in a communications or marketing function or at an agency.
  • Deep knowledge and expertise with Google Analytics, market research, and social listening tools.
  • Prior expertise in process development and operations.
  • Expert level knowledge of SEO, SEM and content management systems.
  • Ability to juggle multiple, competing demands.
  • Proactivity and ability to react expeditiously to market events.
  • Leadership to appropriately guide external agencies and lead working groups across the broader organization.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong project and time management skills.
  • Outside-in perspective.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected US salary range:
$164,800.00 - $259,400.00
