Overview

Support new land lease business development through negotiation and preparation of lease documentation and coordination of all aspects of closing newly originated and approved land leases in FEC Railway’s right-of-way. Monitors and ensures performance of tenant’s lease requirements for the company’s portfolio of land leases.

Responsibilities

  • New lease generation
  • Review lease terms of newly originated and approved land leases, sales, and acquisitions
  • Handle land leases entire process from inception to collections
  • Preparation new leases agreement
  • Communicate with tenants to ensure their understanding of lease agreements, terms and lease closing process and requirements
  • Maintain various reports detailing collection efforts, tracking of lease activity and digital filing system
  • Monthly preparation and production of renewal/extension letters for all annual real estate lease renewals
  • Monthly review and approval of all land lease charges
  • Monthly billing/invoicing for all land lease charges
  • Collection of rental payments beyond 60 days aging
  • Manage lease termination process, as needed
  • Maintain accurate tenant records in our accounting system, JD Edwards
  • Manage and maintain the lease portfolio which includes: insurance, tenant information, collections, renewals, billings/invoicing,
  • Scanning of all necessary documents (i.e. leases, extension letters, amendments) into electronic file folders
  • Assisting tenants/customers regarding any questions that may arise regarding their account, invoice, lease
  • Other Real Estate projects as needed

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College degree or equivalent
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in real estate administration
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable means of transportation

Preferred Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • 5 or more years of real estate administrative experience
  • Florida Real Estate License
  • Commercial Broker License

Job Requirements

  • 20% travel required
