Position Summary
Are you a coffee enthusiast with a passion for providing exceptional customer service? We're seeking a friendly and energetic Barista to join our team and create unforgettable experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Brew a variety of coffee drinks, including espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, and specialty beverages
- Prepare and present food items, such as pastries, sandwiches, and salads
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Provide personalized recommendations and suggestions based on customer preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including cleaning equipment, wiping down counters, and restocking supplies
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and responsibly
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including preparing the cafe for service and securing the premises
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations
- Previous barista experience is preferred, but not required
- Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask effectively
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and menu items
- Food Handler Permit and Alcohol Certification (Utah-specific requirements)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
