Modeling and Simulation Engineer (Top Secret/SCI Clearance)

What level Clearance do I need? You must possess an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.

What will I be doing? You will support providing Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) and limited non-A&AS support and expertise to assist the Standoff Munitions Application Center (SMAC) component of Joint-Global Strike Operations Center (J-GSOC) forces at Barksdale AFB, LA, along with other areas/locations CONUS and OCONUS, including deployed locations. In this role, you will:

• Assist with modeling tasks requiring the design, development and adaptation of mathematical, statistical, econometric, and other scientific methods and techniques for evaluating and reporting the probable effects of alternative courses of action
• Assist with researching, developing, and maintaining the necessary models and simulations to support detailed analysis of many-on-many scenarios involving friendly and adversary systems
• Coordinate with DoD and the Intelligence Community to assist with developing organizational relationships and facilitate modeling development
• Provide administrative, network and security support as necessary to ensure availability of hardware and software for regular and emergent COA development
• Provide on-site SME support at all SMAC facilities as specified

What experience, training, and education do I need?

You must meet the minimum requirements:

• BS/MS in related field (e.g., engineering, statistics, physics) OR 3 yrs experience in experience in enemy air defense threats and tactics analysis
• Experience collaborating with DoD and other government agencies on Integrated Forces Analysis for Mission Planning and CCMD projects
• Experience developing study plans for Integrated Forces Analysis, detailing MOEs, assumptions, limitations, variables, run matrix, and Model and Simulation architecture
• Ability to participate in Intelligence Center and CCMD discussions, working groups, or exchanges regarding modeling, simulation, and analysis studies
• Able to resolve technical issues and develop software tools to overcome challenges
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance

The following experience is preferred:

• Two (2) years experience in modeling, analyzing, or planning tactical airborne electronic warfare/electronic attack capabilities and passive detection techniques
• Two (2) years experience conducting mission-level or engagement-level studies using airborne and anti-air platforms to verify model fidelity and validate performance
  
• One (1) year experience in military aircraft or air defense systems, applying engineering, mathematical/statistical techniques, and operations research theory to develop innovative solutions
• Two (2) years experience modeling or analyzing tactical aircraft or air defense systems operations using simulation software
• Experience with Python and Linux a plus

Where is the client site that I would be working for? You will be working in Barksdale AFB, LA, address disclosed after your clearance is verified.
