HumCap is recruiting on behalf of a global software company looking to hire a Cloud Support Engineer (DevOps/TechOps) at their Plano office. This role will involve supporting, monitoring, and troubleshooting the software solution hosted in primarily Cloud based environments. It is primarily remote for a candidate based in the great DFW area (average one day a month onsite in west Plano)

Role & Responsibilities
  • Build a strong knowledge of the product suite, both in terms of functionality and technical deployment
  • Support the solution deployed into Cloud hosted environments by using monitoring tools and dashboards
  • Capture integration requirements and work with our development team through to implementation
  • Respond to and investigate 2nd and 3rd line support queries as part of a 24/7 global team
  • Communicate and document issues effectively to the wider team
Knowledge & Experience
  • Supporting .NET applications
  • Supporting the deployment of containerized applications
  • Experience in providing support and communicating with external customers
  • An understanding of network management including DNS, HTTP, Firewalls and Load Balancing
  • Ability to read and understand code, and use Git for source control
  • Scripting experience (PowerShell or similar)
  • Hands on experience with Azure (or extensive experience with an alternative cloud provider)
  • Databases, ability to write queries and understand data structures
  • A drive and passion for learning
Nice to Haves
  • Microsoft Azure Certifications
  • Development skills (C# / Visual Studio)
  • Usage of monitoring tools
  • Experience with deployment tools such as Octopus Deploy
  • Infrastructure Automation (Terraform / Chef / Puppet / Ansible)
