Role Overview

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications. Your expertise in both software development and testing will be essential for delivering high-quality solutions. You ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to achieve our quality goals. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to both front-end and back-end development, leveraging technologies such as React.js, Node.js, TypeScript, databases, and cloud-native platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks, test suites, and test scripts.
  • Perform end-to-end testing, integration testing, and regression testing across front-end and back-end components.
  • Collaborate with developers to understand requirements and provide feedback during the development process.
  • Investigate and report defects, track their resolution, and verify fixes.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing processes and methodologies.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years relevant experience in software development or software testing with a focus on domain-specific functional testing and automation.

Key Skills:

  • Test Planning and Execution:
    • Extensive experience in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts tailored to the specific domain requirements of both frontend and backend applications.
    • Deep understanding of functional testing methodologies, including integration testing and end-to-end testing to validate domain-based workflows.
  • Front-end and Back-end Testing Expertise:
    • Proficient in testing applications, data flows and business logic with strong knowledge of front-end technologies like Angular.js, React.js and backend technologies like Node.js, Java and Python.
    • Capable of designing tests that validate the functionality of user interfaces based on domain requirements.
  • Database Validation:
    • Familiarity with RDBMS and NoSQL databases to validate test cases accurately reflect the domain-specific data structures and relationships.
  • Automated Testing Tools and Frameworks:
      • Proficient in unit testing and functional test automation for both frontend and backend systems using tools like: Cypress, Pytest, unittest, Junit,etc.
  • Performance Testing:
      • Proficiency in performance testing across the frontend and backend to validate domain-level performance benchmarks using tools like: Cypress, Selenium, K6, JMeter, etc.
  • Collaboration and Problem Solving:
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, especially in identifying and automating domain-specific edge cases and scenarios.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring that functional tests align with domain-specific business logic.
