We are seeking an Oracle EBS (E-Business Suite) Solutions Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Oracle EBS applications to meet our business requirements. Their key responsibilities include developing system enhancements, integrating new partners or systems, and providing production support. They create technical solutions to meet business needs, such as developing operating system scripts to automate backups, data transfers, and monitoring. Additionally, they lead technical acceptance testing of patches and upgrades, assist users by developing and delivering training content, and promptly troubleshoot and resolve software issues. They work closely with stakeholders to understand strategic directions and ensure that their solutions align with organizational objectives.

This role will be based in our Naperville IL office. Our office environment is a key driver of our company culture and employee experience, so a regular in-office hybrid model (generally T-TH in office and M & F remote) is required.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop new system enhancements, integrate new partners/systems, and provide production support.
  • Conduct requirements analysis, design, build, and testing.
  • Offer expert guidance on applying technology/applications to business needs.
  • Serve as a technical resource with a strong functional foundation.
  • Create and promote solutions that support business requirements and strategies, aligning with enterprise and departmental goals.
  • Assist leadership in managing customer expectations for project implementation and stakeholder communications.
  • Work closely with internal customers to understand business objectives and ensure successful technology enablement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align key projects with business requirements, including budget and finance considerations.
  • Review and implement all systems and documentation under development.
  • Advise on technology prioritization and future utilization, as well as business process improvements.
  • Identify and analyze gaps between current and desired processes, design new processes, develop performance measures, and plan transitions to new processes.

Experience and Qualifications of the Role:

  • 15 + years of Oracle EBS technical experience.
  • More than 7 years of Oracle EBS R12 techno-functional experience, focusing on Financials (GL, AP, AR, Cash Management, Fixed Assets), CRM Foundation, Service Contracts, Field Service, Advanced Scheduler, Install Base, Procurement, and Inventory.
  • Preferred knowledge and experience in the warranty and leasing business.
  • Proficient in technical skills: PL/SQL, Forms, Reports, XML Publisher, Workflow Builder, SQL tuning, Web ADI, and OA Framework.
  • Understand client program objectives and align operational support activities to meet those objectives.
  • Comprehend the relationship between applications, application architectures, and business processes.
  • Proven ability to apply project management skills to solve practical problems in a high-tech development environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously with a strong desire to learn and expand knowledge.
  • Strong collaboration, prioritization, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with virtual teams.
  • Passionate about working on projects with elements of unknown and ambiguity.
  • Capable of working independently and taking initiative to develop solutions for business requirements.

Bachelor s Degree in Information Systems or equivalent technology field (or relevant experience)
