FloSports is creating the home for college conferences/leagues and sports like grappling, hockey, track & field, racing, cheer, wrestling, and more, and we are looking for innovative and passionate people like you to help us!

THE ROLE:

FloSports, a leader and innovator in sports media with millions of athletes & fans worldwide, is currently seeking a passionate Senior Front-End Software Engineer to join the Web App team. As an engineer on the Web App team, you'll work alongside fellow engineers, product, and design to craft compelling mobile-first web experiences welcoming in new customers and engaging our growing subscriber base in helping them truly "Be There" in the action. Create & iterate on the next generation of the FloSports Web App with results, real-time stats, live streams, & rich personalized video content using your knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, consistent UI components, testing, and API design. You will also play a role in implementing experiments (A/B tests) allowing the team to take a data-informed approach in positively impacting new customer experiences.

We work with Angular 13, TypeScript, NestJS, Node.js, Redis, Docker, and Kubernetes across AWS & Google Cloud. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Senior developer (5+ years) with a focus on building UI libraries from scratch using the Angular framework.

  • Extreme attention to detail and the ability to create pixel-perfect components that look exactly like a design (without having to depend on premade UI libraries like Bootstrap or Material.)

  • Solid understanding of UX principles and how they are applied to the UI. Experience working with a UX team to determine requirements for styling and functionality.

  • High level of proficiency with TypeScript (i.e. classes, interfaces, generics, etc)

  • Experience working with REST APIs

  • Experience creating mobile / responsive web applications

  • OOP mindset and experience building UI using strong coding principles and design patterns.

  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to ask the right questions so that you build the right solution.

  • An innate curiosity, a positive mindset, and empathy for your teammates.

  • Most important (Ownership): It s in your nature to drive for results, to take ownership of your work, and to come up with creative solutions to meet business objectives.
