Responsibilities
  • Advises on planning, design and implementation; controls the installation and maintenance of all operating systems and server hardware in the enterprise.
  • Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot all issues relating to Network servers, application and database servers, including upgrades, patches, and operating system issues. Install, configure, upgrade, support, and administer VMware, Windows and server-associated components.
  • Maintain a healthy Windows Active Directory environment by modifying, changing, and reviewing group policies, logon scripts, and Active Directory security and permissions on the entire domain.
  • Identify optimal cloud-based solutions per business requirements and maintain cloud platforms in accordance with architecture guidelines and company security policies.
  • Drive initiatives to improve Cloud Infrastructure, On-premises servers, and Hybrid environments by employing innovative implementation techniques. Also, configure Exchange Online, Azure Cloud, MFA, and Data Security policies using tools such as PowerShell, Active Directory Users and Computers, Azure AD Connect, Intune, and Security and Compliance tools.
  • Collaborate with network engineering, business application, and database administration units to ensure server and system resources meet business demands; gather technical project requirements and produce proposals.
  • Analyze and monitor all servers using appropriate monitoring software to provide proactive solutions; manage server and application patches.
  • Support and deploy Information Security (IS) system guidelines to ensure a secure IT infrastructure; evaluate and recommend new technologies.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent years of experience required
  • Minimum five (5) years experience in Windows operating system administration and three (3) years experience in Unix/Linux operating system administration required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of Azure Cloud Technologies.
  • Knowledge of Azure resources and management: subscriptions, resource groups, VMs, storage accounts, load balancers, app gateway, vNets, subnets, private endpoints, DNS, recovery services vaults.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Intune, including configuration profiles, compliance policies, app deployment, and conditional access.
  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager (MEM) and other Microsoft 365 services (e.g., Azure Active Directory, SharePoint).
  • Strong knowledge of application packaging.
  • Expert level proficiency with Windows 2016/2019, Group Policy and Active Directory; solid understanding of Active Directory design and implementation.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform and GKE/Kubernetes container technologies a plus.
  • Understanding of IT Service Management terms and processes
  • Familiar with Change Management guidelines and process
  • Vision and leadership skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate vision, direction, requirements, and priorities.
  • Must be able to participate in 24/7 on-call rotation schedule.
