Responsibilities/Job Duties/Job Description/Qualifications:

  • We are seeking an experienced ESRI GIS Administrator specializing in backend data management and ETL processes to join our dedicated GIS team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient flow of geospatial data and maintaining the integrity of our GIS systems.
  • As an ESRI GIS Administrator with a focus on backend data and ETL processes, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the GIS infrastructure.
  • You will be responsible for supporting the seamless flow of geospatial data, maintaining data quality, and automating workflows.
  • Ideal candidates will have experience with Safe Software's FME, Oracle and/SQL databases, ESRI's ArcGIS Enterprise/Pro, scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell, and possess a general understanding of Windows scripting and automation.
  • Data Flow and ETL: Design, develop, and maintain data flows and ETL processes to ensure the efficient and accurate transfer of geospatial data between various systems and databases.
  • GIS Infrastructure: Administer and maintain our ESRI GIS infrastructure, including ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Pro, to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the integrity and accuracy of geospatial data.
  • Scripting and Automation: Develop and maintain scripts using Python, PowerShell, and general Windows scripting to automate repetitive tasks, streamline workflows, and enhance system efficiency.
  • Safe Software's FME: Utilize FME for data transformation, integration, and automation, ensuring compatibility and data consistency across multiple systems.
  • Control M (Bonus): If applicable, leverage Control M for job scheduling and monitoring to automate and manage data-related tasks.
  • GIS Map Data Management: Work closely with the GIS team to understand and support electrical utility data and GIS map data management needs.
  • Proven experience as an ESRI GIS Administrator or similar role, with a focus on backend data management and ETL processes.
  • Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Pro.
  • Strong scripting skills, including Python, PowerShell, and Windows scripting.
  • Experience with Oracle databases and SQL.
  • Familiarity with Safe Software's FME is highly desirable.
  • General knowledge of electrical utility data and GIS map data management is preferred.
  • Experience with Control M (bonus).
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
