Sr Data Analyst

Advantage Tech is looking for a Sr Data Analyst for our Lenexa client.
Objective
The Senior Data Analyst is a lead on the Business Intelligence and IT team. The primary scope of work will include maintaining the data warehouse and the use of AI/ML to accelerate and enhance reporting and analytics capabilities for the business. Includes data analysis, system enhancement, reporting and written/verbal communications. This position may provide supervisory responsibility to a team of developers and analysts.
Responsibilities

• Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and communicate recommendations for improvements to senior leadership.
• Determine which metrics matter the most (and the least!) to City Wide success.
• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of our data warehouse, ensuring it supports scalable and efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Utilize AI/ML techniques to develop predictive models, automate data processing, and generate actionable insights.
• Craft and optimize operational reports to assess performance and drive growth of sales and operations for over 100 franchises.
• Collaborate with a team of analysts and over 100 business leaders to leverage data for strategic decision-making.
• Develop and maintain advanced reporting tools and dashboards to provide real-time insights and support business intelligence initiatives.
• Create, build, maintain, and monitor data schemas to optimize and simplify reports in Power BI and other reporting and analytics tools.
• Create visual representations of raw data to highlight areas of focus for growth and/or risk.
• Determine sales and profit impacts of each tactic and best operational approach to properly apply each option to maximize results.
• Illuminate impacts of key industry drivers, such as labor costs, pricing, and sales activities; summarize implications of changes in these areas to the business.
• Create and maintain ongoing reporting of recommendations, trends, & test vs. control scenarios.
• Perform ad hoc analysis as needed.
• Supervisory duties to include daily workflow, assignments, performance evaluations and timekeeping.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Position requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science/analytics, economics, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in data analytics and warehouse management.
• Extensive experience in data warehouse management and architecture.
• Proficiency in AI/ML tools and techniques, with a strong understanding of their application in financial analytics.

• Expert knowledge in Power BI, SQL Server Management Studio, Azure SQL, SSIS or similar ETL toolkit, Windows 11
• Expertise in using operational reporting to identify areas of strength and weakness.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
