About the Role

Our client seeks a Manager of Project Management to support the Director of Project Management in updating processes and leading the current project management team.The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership success and be team-oriented, excelling in a highly collaborative work environment.

Strong communication skills, creative problem-solving abilities, negotiation expertise, and adaptability are essential qualities for this role. A robust desire and capacity to foster effective working relationships with key stakeholders throughout the organization and a variety of pharmaceutical clients are critical. Projects will encompass technical product implementations, process improvement initiatives, and pharmacy client implementations.

Requirements

- Manage and drive implementation methodology for Project Managers

- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert & advocate for Project Delivery Process

- Act as a working leader overseeing all Project Management functions for assigned project managers

- Ensure proper scope management practices are utilized by PMs

- Review and/or approve Status Reports, Project Schedules, Financial Summaries, etc.

- Mentor and/or conduct audits on JIRA and Smartsheet best practices

- Support Project Deployment Procedures, including transition to operations

- Focus on business outcomes & utilization, not merely deadlines

- Ensure adherence to IT Department Practices

- Out of Office Plans, Outlook Calendaring, On-Camera participation, HR Processes

- Audit time-tracking for direct reports, ensuring compliance with standards

- Function as a Working Team Leader

- Forecast resource utilization and capacity for optimal staffing and workflows within the Implementation team alongside the Director of Project Management

- Participate in resource planning to allocate resources based on ranked priority, ensuring scalability with the VP of PMO

- Proactively manage risks and mitigate for the client portfolio, ensuring high-priority programs receive necessary attention and resources in collaboration with the Director of Project Management

- Deliver exceptional customer service to all internal and external clients for assigned project managers

- Foster and enhance the department's culture in alignment with the overall company culture. Cultivate effective actions and behaviors among staff

- Drive best practice project management methodology to ensure quality and consistency, training the project management team on process changes

- Lead recruiting, onboarding, and mentoring of project management team members while composing and communicating performance reviews for assigned teams

- Effectively engage and present to all organizational levels, from individual contributors to executives

Required Skills

- BS/BA degree

- Minimum 10 years of experience in a project management role

- Strong familiarity with Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

- Prior experience in the healthcare and/or pharmaceutical industry

- Proficiency with project management software such as Smartsheet

- Experience in Agile Software (i.e., JIRA) & Practices

- PMP certification preferred

- CSM Certification preferred
