Engineering Document Management Specialist

Job Description:

Either Web Cam or In Person interview.

Candidate should be local to metro Atlanta.

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is seeking an Document Management Specialist to provide expert support and lead initiatives related to the implementation and management of engineering software across the Department. This position requires a local candidate as in-office attendance will be required twice a week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Department personnel to implement new engineering software solutions.
• Serve as an Administrator for GDOT s Engineering Document Management System (Bentley ProjectWise).
• Support internal and external staff using Bentley ProjectWise Deliverables Management for electronic file exchanges.
• Provide daily user support for engineering software systems.
• Assist in maintaining and updating the Department s engineering software standards and documentation.
• Develop and conduct training sessions for users of engineering software.
• Document and update business processes to reflect new or revised software requirements.
• Establish and promote best practices for engineering software usage.
• Research emerging engineering technologies and provide recommendations to Department personnel and management.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in an architectural or engineering environment.
• Competence in using the MS Office Suite (5 years).
• Experience developing technical documentation (2 years).

Preferred:

• 2 years of experience using and supporting document management systems like Bentley ProjectWise.
• 2 years of experience creating training materials and conducting training sessions.
• 2 years of experience providing customer support in a technical environment.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with ServiceNOW or similar platforms.
