BuildingPoint SouthEast is growing and is looking to add a Sales Support Engineer to better serve our customers and provide the level of support necessary for their success. The Sales Support Engineer is primarily responsible for the training, deployment, implementation and support of Trimble’s Layout and Scanning solutions to our customers both onsite and remotely. This position would be primarily focused on the GA and SC territory but may be asked to travel as necessary to help cover our entire region from GA to MD. This position would ideally be located between Atlanta, GA and Greenville, SC, but we are open to other locations within the territory.

Essential Functions And Duties

  • Work in combination with the sales team during pre-sale presentations, demonstrations and evaluations of Trimble Layout and Scanning equipment
  • Provide post-sales training, deployment and consultation for Trimble related Layout and Scanning products and services (classroom and/or construction jobsite settings)
  • Deliver technical support onsite or via phone/email in a timely manner
  • Assist customers with the support of their third-party software (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Trimble FieldLink and Realworks, etc.) to ensure a seamless integration with their Trimble hardware
  • Assist Support Team by actively updating and maintaining the Knowledge Base on the BPSE website
  • Act as a liaison for marketing activities, trade shows, road shows, conferences, webinars and other targeted events for BuildingPoint’s customers and prospects
  • Work proactively and diligently to resolve customer problems quickly and always maintain strong customer relations and satisfaction
  • Participate in team efforts to cross-sell our large family of products to existing customers
  • Be the “in-house expert” to assist other employees with technical insight and development
  • Travel locally and regionally with some overnight stays
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Proven time management skills with ability to multi-task and self-prioritize
  • Extremely organized with strong follow-up skills
  • Construction industry knowledge
  • 5+ years related work experience preferred
  • Reading and understanding construction drawings
  • Strong CAD / Revit / BIM / VDC knowledge and/or experience
  • Willingness to learn new hardware and software
  • Good technical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience teaching in classroom setting is a plus
  • Comfortable being on a construction jobsite
  • Positive, “team-first” attitude
