- Compensation: $50 to $57 per hour
- Communicate with patients to explain the X-ray procedure, address concerns, and ensure cooperation for obtaining accurate images.
- Position patients appropriately to obtain the necessary images while ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Operate X-ray Machines: Set up and operate X-ray machines to capture images of specific areas of the body.
- Adjust Settings: Adjust the X-ray machine settings, such as exposure time and radiation levels, to obtain high-quality images with minimal radiation exposure.
- Protective Measures: Implement safety measures to protect patients, themselves, and other healthcare professionals from unnecessary radiation exposure.
- Use of Lead Aprons: Ensure patients wear lead aprons to shield unaffected areas from radiation during imaging.
- Have a good understanding of human anatomy to position patients properly and focus on the area of interest.
- Employ proper imaging techniques to capture clear and diagnostic images.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and any relevant details for future reference.
- Possess effective communication skills to interact with patients, healthcare providers, and other team members.
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program, which may result in an associate's or bachelor's degree.
- 2+ years experience.
- ARRT Required
- CA State license required
