Essential Functions:

Learn the product development process and apply design efforts on your own project.
Document design and testing as appropriate on each phase of the project.
Provide engineering assistance to internal teams or external customers on existing projects.
Use knowledge and skills in the engineering discipline.
Performs technical work that does not require previous experience.
Works independently, as well as with a team.
Complete summer end internship presentation.
Demonstrated the guiding principles of Aerostar.
May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.

Education & Experience:

Minimum of 2 years towards a bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel is required.
Familiarity with one or more of SolidWorks, Matlab, or Python desired.
Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, without close supervision.
Ability to work with a high level of confidentiality.
Capacity to be flexible and multitask.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.

Physical Requirements: Required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Working Conditions: Exposure to a normal office environment. Position may occasionally require entering a production environment, including exposure to noise, fumes, moving machinery, and varied temperatures.
