National Network Services (NNSI), a trusted service provider of engineering and installation services, is currently seeking a Design Engineer for our DC Power division.
This role is responsible for creating an engineering design work package for all types of Central Office DC Power equipment as well as Central Office/Data Center Infra-structure while following strict adherence to manufacturer and client technical publications which include but are not limited to Lumen Technical Publications 77350, 77351,77385 and/or Telcordia Standards.
This role is also responsible to perform or support field site surveys which is in direct support of the engineering for space, routing, fuse/breaker availability etc.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Creating an engineering design package in client provided systems to include;
- Narrative Notes
- Detailed Step by Step work procedures
- Bill of Materials
- Cable Run List
- Drawings
It is preferred that the ideal candidate will have:
- Industry experience with Rectifiers, Distribution (PBD's & BDFB's), Power Monitors, Floor / Ceiling supported environments, Fused / Un-fused cable rack layouts and DC Grounding Systems.
- Industry experience preferred for COEFM, NDS, Auto Cad, Visio, Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with the client, employees and management by demonstrating excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Demonstrated exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Must be organized and a self-starter.
