  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

méShell Studios is seeking a resourceful and creative video editor/FX specialist/animator to join our creative team based in Los Angeles on a freelance basis. The editor will play a crucial role in the post-production process of visual content.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, high-quality short form videos that align with project goals and vision.
  • Work closely with directors, producers, and other team members to understand project requirements and deliver compelling visual narratives.
  • Enhance videos with color correction, sound editing, transitions, and visual effects to elevate the final product.
  • Ensure continuity, smooth transitions, and proper pacing in video sequences.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and editing techniques to bring innovative ideas to projects.
  • Create graphics and animations to overlay on footage

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience (3-5 years) as an editor creating videos native to social media
  • Strong knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop and Premiere
  • Experienced in editing videos to specs that include: TikTok and Instagram and YouTube

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with motion graphics, visual effects or animation.
  • Knowledge of color grading and audio mixing.
  • Familiarity with different video formats and codecs for various platforms.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be able to travel
  • Must be willing to work during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines
  • Must be comfortable working on projects with quick turnaround
  • Must have some schedule flexibility and availability at the start of 2025
