Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join our genomics team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in conducting experiments, and supporting research projects. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to impactful genomics research.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory experiments related to genomic techniques, including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, sequencing, and other molecular biology protocols.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, reagents, and sample inventory.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and optimize experimental protocols.
• Document experimental procedures and results accurately in lab notebooks and databases.
• Assist in preparing and writing SOPs and worksheets

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques, such as PCR, sequencing, cloning, and electrophoresis.
• Experience with next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies, including sample preparation and library preparation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency with next-generation sequencing (NGS) platforms and protocols.
• Knowledge of molecular biology techniques, including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, and NGS library construction
• Strong computer skills, including experience with databases, spreadsheets
• Excellent documentation skills, with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.

• Previous experience in a research or clinical genomics lab.
