GovCIO is currently hiring Senior System Administrators to help lead Tier II Cloud Application support to a DOD agency. This position will be located in Hannover, Maryland and will be hybrid position, one site at least one a week with a 12 hours shift, and other hours remote (up to 40 per week).

Responsibilities

Establishes and maintains smooth operation of cloud applications/computer systems/virtual machines in a cloud environment. Maintains application integrity and troubleshoots systems as needed. May create and document new methods supporting network/system operations and implement changes to procedures. As Tier II help desk, works customer tickets and works with customers and engineering staff in the resolution of incidents and problems. Coordinates and performs operation and/or maintenance activities for networks/servers, identifies recurring problems and recommends steps to reduce the severity or frequency of problems. May help with metrics, knowledge based articles, and Service Desk standard operating procedures.
  • Works tickets to maintain cloud applications in AWS computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implements network/system security measures in order to protect data, software, and hardware.
  • Provides regular monitoring and analysis regarding tickets, incidents, and outages
  • Updates ticket information. Writes SOP and prepares or ensures that appropriate documentation exists, including operational instructions
  • MAy leads Service Desk crew tasks


Qualifications

Bachelor's with 8+ years (or commensurate experience)
  • Clearance Required: Top Secret

  • 3 years of system administration experience building, updating, upgrades servers and/or applications 2 years of Application troubleshooting
  • 1 years of working in a cloud environment
  • 1 year or more of Service desk experience
  • Information Assurance Technician Level II or greater (Security+ or equivalent, or higher certification)
  • Computation Environment (CE) certification: AWS, or windows, or LINUX certification

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $130,000.00 - USD $135,000.00 /Yr.
