Allegheny Science & Technology (AST) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cyber Analyst to join our team. The position requires demonstrated experience planning and executing cybersecurity plans and controls.

This position is in the Washington, DC metropolitan area and is expected to be a hybrid position between onsite and remote.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of planning, coordination, and implementation of cybersecurity measures.
  • Develop, monitor, and test cybersecurity policies, plans, and controls.
  • Lead a team of cyber and information security staff.
  • Document test results and develop and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and document residual risk and risk assessment statements.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in planning, coordinating, and implementing security measures to protect information systems and data.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing, monitoring, and conducting testing of cybersecurity plans and controls using a variety of tools and methods.
  • Experience with classified systems and with federal government systems is highly preferred.
  • BS/BA degree from an accredited university or college in Information Technology with an emphasis in Cybersecurity of Information Assurance or similar degree.
  • GIAC Information Security Professional (GISP), ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent is required.
  • Experience with Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) and Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation is preferred.

Other Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Active DOE "Q", Top Secret, or equivalent clearance or have held a DOE "Q", Top Secret, or equivalent clearance which was terminated without prejudice within six (6) months preferred

We are committed to offering a competitive compensation package that reflects the value and expertise that each candidate brings to our team.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is $100,000 - $175,000.
