Systems Engineer

We are currently seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join our IT team. As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our systems infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.

The Systems Engineer will play a crucial role in the development and management of our company's IT infrastructure. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, implementing best practices, and ensuring that our systems meet the highest standards of performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Systems Design and Implementation: Design and implement scalable and reliable systems architecture to meet the organization's business requirements.
• Server Administration: Manage and maintain servers, ensuring their optimal performance, availability, and security.
• Network Infrastructure: Design and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls, to support seamless connectivity.
• Virtualization and Cloud Computing: Implement virtualization solutions and leverage cloud services to enhance scalability and flexibility.
• Security Measures: Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain security measures, including access controls and encryption.
• Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring tools to proactively identify and address performance issues. Optimize system configurations for maximum efficiency.
• Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Provide expert-level support for system-related issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions in a timely manner.
• Automation: Implement automation solutions for routine system administration tasks, minimizing manual intervention and improving efficiency.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems architecture, configurations, and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of server administration, network infrastructure, and security best practices.
• Experience with virtualization technologies and cloud platforms (e.g., VMware, AWS, Azure).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Certifications such as MCSE, CompTIA Server+, or equivalent are a plus.
