The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in mass spectrometry techniques and instrumentation, along with adept management skills. As the Lab Manager, you will lead a talented team of researchers and technicians, coordinating projects from inception to completion while maintaining a safe and compliant laboratory environment. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovative research projects that contribute to our mission of elevating scientific outcomes. Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the mass spectrometry lab, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Lead and mentor a team of laboratory staff, providing training and guidance on mass spectrometry techniques and safety protocols.
  • Oversee the development and execution of lab projects, maintaining timelines and budgets.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support scientific research initiatives.
  • Implement and refine laboratory protocols, optimizing workflows and enhancing data accuracy.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot mass spectrometry instruments to ensure peak performance.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in mass spectrometry and related methodologies to drive innovation.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with mass spectrometry in a laboratory setting, with at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Strong understanding of mass spectrometry principles, techniques, and instrumentation.
  • Proven track record in managing laboratory operations and project teams effectively.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with laboratory safety regulations and best practices.
