Position Overview
As a Data Analys t for Koroseal , you will play a pivotal role in helping us to harness the power of data to drive informed business decisions. Your responsibilities will include data interpretation, stewardship, and cleanup, ensuring data is accurate , relevant, and used effectively across the organization. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand the business and help tell compelling stories through data, as well as participat e in projects that turn insights into actionable strategies .
Key Responsibilities
Data Interpretation : Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support strategic business decisions. Transform raw data into meaningful and actionable business intelligence.
Data Stewardship : Maintain the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data by implementing data governance practices, conducting regular data audits, and leading data cleanup initiatives.
Storytelling with Data : Develop clear and compelling visualizations, reports, and presentations that communicate data insights and business implications to stakeholders at all levels.
Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for process optimization and recommend data-driven solutions to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall business performance.
Collaboration : Partner with business units, IT, and data teams to ensure that data solutions meet business needs and support strategic objectives .
Data Quality : Establish and assist with enforce ment of data quality standards, ensuring that all data used in decision-making is accurate , reliable, and up t o date.
Training & Support : Provide training content and collateral to support training end-users on data tools, reporting systems, and best practices for data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree in data science , Business Analytics, Information Systems, or equivalent experience or certifications in a related field.
Experience : 3 + years of experience in a data analyst, business analyst, or similar role, with a strong emphasis on data interpretation and analysis.
Technical Skills : Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Python) and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Experience with data stewardship, data quality management, and collaboration with IT on DBA functions.
Analytical Mindset : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
Attention to Detail : Meticulous attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of data accuracy and integrity.
Business Acumen : Solid understanding of business processes and the ability to align data solutions with business objectives .
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a distribution or specification-driven business environment.
Familiarity with business intelligence (BI) tools and Master Data Management (MDM) practices.
Knowledge of sales compensation plans and KPI development.
