Job Title: Golang Backend Engineer

Location(s): McLean, VA

As a Golang Backend Engineer, you'll be instrumental in designing and enhancing tools that contribute to efficiency, scalability, and streamlined operations within our organization. Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and enhance internal tools, spanning tasks such as scheduling, provisioning, tunnel services, upgrades, and data management.
  • Create and manage services, both for internal and customer-facing use, ensuring secure and efficient data transmission.
  • Develop internal services to streamline configuration management, pipeline updates, and more.
  • Architect and implement systems for efficient asset movement across storage systems, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Maintain a versatile toolbox to enhance developer workflows and streamline processes.

Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Proven mastery of Golang and proficiency in Python or modern managed languages.
  • Familiarity with backing stores and databases including both SQL/NoSQL such as Postgres, Cassandra desirable
  • History of delivering products built on multiple frameworks such as Echo, Django, Flask
  • Demonstrated ability to not only code but also define, document, debug, and maintain Full stack applications
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and network protocols.
  • An Agile mentality is required as we strive every sprint to design, code, test, and deliver solutions to our customers and in turn react and pivot based on their feedback
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Should be equally capable of clarifying design points with architects and product owners as well as working with customer service to solve customer problems.
