Hybrid Role in the - Pittsburgh, Erie, state college, PA areas
You will support the development and delivery of energy efficiency programs by providing engineering calculations, building energy simulations, measurement and verification, and utility program technical design and assistance. Lead design and development of technical strategies, conduct analysis to inform and recommend energy savings, and develop plans and provide reporting that contributes to the success of client programs. Write and inform technical documents, publications, and conducts quality review of content. Provide general project oversight, quality control/assurance, and continuously informs customers and project team of updates and necessary adjustments. Support business development efforts and proactively seeks new project opportunities
Calculate energy savings for projects in our programs using standard engineering principles including physics, mechanics, fan laws, thermodynamics, algebra, and statistics
Lead other engineers in their technical work; able to lead teams of three engineers or more
Consistently develop the capabilities of other engineers, particularly EE IIs and IIIs
Understand evaluation risks, guide program teams on evaluation risks, and provide recommended strategies to mitigate risks
Scope significant work for the engineering team; ensure the work of others is of high quality, on time, and on budget
Able to perform ASHRAE level III audits unassisted at large commercial and industrial facilities
Proven company leader in several technical areas (e.g., audits, evaluations, work papers, data centers)
Oversees development of calculators, protocols, savings methodologies, and inspection processes
Qualifications
8+ years experience
BS Engineering degree
