Job Description
The Cloud Data Engineer III is responsible for developing and maintaining data processing software, data modeling, pipelines, transformations, related databases, and supporting infrastructure. Duties include coordinating with ALSAC leadership and other professionals to create data infrastructure, running tests on designs to isolate errors, and updating systems to accommodate changes in technical and business needs.

Job Description
The Cloud Data Engineer III is responsible for developing and maintaining data processing software, data modeling, pipelines, transformations, related databases, and supporting infrastructure. Duties include coordinating with ALSAC leadership and other professionals to create data infrastructure, running tests on designs to isolate errors, and updating systems to accommodate changes in technical and business needs.
- Familiarity with and implementation of dimensional data modeling techniques and data warehousing concepts
- Ability to build and optimize data sets, 'big data' data pipelines and architectures
- Ability to perform root cause analysis on external and internal processes and data to identify opportunities for improvement and answer questions
- Must be proficient with SQL for development and analysis
- Excellent analytic skills associated with working on unstructured datasets
- Ability to build processes that support data transformation, workload management, data structures, dependency and metadata
- Strong hands on knowledge of API integration using services such as AWS Lambda, Mulesoft, SSIS, or Confluent
- Background of sourcing complex data from numerous sources for central processing and analysis within a data lake eco system (ETL / ELT)
- DevOps experience with solid knowledge of CI/CD processes for API deployment and application integration, database source control (Liquibase, DB Up, SSDT) and deployment techniques
- Security minded with experience building compliance aware applications using core AWS data services including S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena, Cloudwatch/Cloudtrail, and VPC configurations
- Extensive understanding and experience in architecting data structrures and dimensional data modeling between and with BOTH SQL Server and AWS (Redshift, etc.).
- Experience working with hybrid DevOps deployments, IaaS TerraForm automation).
- Significant experience managing security structures and protocols in AWS and SQL Server (incl. table and row-level access security)
- Experience building analytical data products from discovery to implementation across business and technical domains.
- Knowledge of data warehousing structures and methodologies including star schemas and data marts
- Technical knowledge of database operations and structures for performant, reliably analytics and reporting
- Strong communication and technical documentation skills including conceptual, logical, and physical modeling.
- Bachelor's Degree with related Engineering and/or information technology preferred.
- Master's Degree with experience working with stakeholders including data, design, product and executive team and assisting them with data-related technical issues preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft SQ Server, Airflow, dbt, CData, preferred.
- Knowledge of API integration using services such as AWS Lambda, Mulesoft, SSIS, or Confluent, preferred. - The position will be hybrid at NEO in Memphis, TN, or Remote in the USA)
