Job Description

Wright Fabrication and Design is seeking a talented Steel Erection and miscellaneous steel estimator with a strong background in Miscellaneous Steel and Structural Steel. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience and will be able to work independently while collaborating with team members. We need individuals who can stay calm under pressure and maintain their focus on their goal: to provide accurate estimates for each job and effectively communicate these estimates to our clients. As an Estimator, you'll be expected to stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and technologies and have the ability to look at our clients' needs, determine the best processes for them, and identify ways we can improve our services based on your experience.

Responsibilities required but not limited too:
  • Create estimates for misc. steel and structural steel projects.
  • Measure misc. and structural steel materials.
  • Create a detailed list of the materials needed for a project.
  • 3-5 years of experience working with structural, ornamental & miscellaneous metal projects.
  • Create cost estimations for entire projects.
  • Review cost estimates made by other employees.
  • Create cost estimates for accurate labor / material estimates.
  • Knowledge of stairs and railings.
  • Knowledge of metal connections and specific welds to meet requirements.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office. (Excel, Word & Outlook)
  • Communication skills and being able to work with a past pace experienced team.
  • The ability to read and understand specifications, sketches and blueprints including structural, misc. steel and architectural drawings.

Wright Fabrication and Design would like to hire a motivated individual that possesses fabrication experience to ensure accurate labor estimates. A Bachelors degree is a plus but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
