Senior Graph Data Developer

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Senior Graph Data Developer for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Regulatory clients in Rockville, MD.

This position is 100% Remote.

Our client is looking for an Experienced Graph Data Developer to join their team developing the next generation of graph-driven data solutions. Our products connect the people, places, and things enabling pattern detection, self-exploration, and machine learning applications. The right candidate thrives in a team based environment focused on value and outcomes. Required Technical Skills & Knowledge

• 5 or more years experience with Scala development (OOP, not just scripting)
• 3 or more years of experience in Neo4j (must have)
• Experience with large scale data processing engines (Spark, Presto, or equivalent)
• 2 or more years of experience in Spark
• 3 or more years of experience performing data analysis tasks in big data, graph, business intelligence, or similar environments
• 2 or more years of experience in AWS
• Demonstrated expert level skills in SQL
• Naturally inquisitive and enjoys exploring data and business outcomes
• Excellent communication skills, detail oriented, with demonstrated ability

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with ontology, taxonomy, and graph standards (OWL, RDF, RDFS, SKOS, etc)
• Experience with Graph RAG solutions
• Financial industry experience
• Experience in machine learning environments

• Data analytics and processing in Spark
• Data profiling new data sources
• Design and support of graph architecture
• Identification of patterns in data
• Engage with upstream and downstream engineering partners in value pipeline improvements
• Agile ceremonies and team engagement
