CGS is hiring a FULL-TIME Site Reliability Engineer to join a large Financial Services firm on the Integrations team. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability and performance of the cloud-based infrastructure supporting the company s digital platform.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, and / or Automation Engineering required
  • Strong experience with AWS and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) services.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools such as Python, Golang, Bash, and Terraform
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog.
  • Expertise in managing and optimizing APIs and SQL-based databases
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, security practices, and cloud architecture best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and incident resolution.
  • Experience working with agile and in a well-defined Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, engineering, related field (or equivalent experience) required

Responsibilities

  • Support critical applications and ensure the stability of the applications by performing proactive maintenance activities, engage in automation activities, do root cause analysis and remediation.
  • Ability to write and maintain scripts to monitor system activity.
  • Develop and maintain automation tools to handle all engineering and application support tasks.
  • Engage in production issue troubleshooting bridge calls, provide immediate service restoration, follow up on root cause analysis, and ensure permanent fix is implemented to avoid similar problems in the future.
  • Coordinate and execute application releases and production deployments.
