Job Description

As a Unified Communications / Collaboration Engineer at BlueAlly, you'll join some of the best talent in the world in doing consulting work with our clients while delivering solutions based on Cisco's Collaboration suite and complementary products. This opening will support a VERY high-profile client in Baltimore, MD, where we are responsible for both completely deploying new and upgrading existing Cisco Video Teleconference (VTC) collaboration systems for conferences and meetings. This is a technical role; however, in addition to a technician s skill set it also requires strong communication, tact, and documentation skills as you will interface with multiple partners and stakeholders in the client environment.

This role is deployment-oriented and operations-focused and requires 2 - 4 days onsite so candidates must be within a comfortable commuting distance of offices around the Baltimore, MD, area.

Due to the nature of the client, you must have US Citizenship to access the site.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have experience deploying and supporting Cisco Unified Communications and Collaboration (UC&C) solutions and Video Teleconference systems in a production environment and must be able to demonstrate a solid mid-level understanding of the following:

  • Knowledge of Cisco Unified Communication systems (CUCM, Control Hub, TMS, Webex)
  • Cisco Collaboration Edge and Video applications to include Video Communications Server (VCS) and/or Expressway
  • Working knowledge of Cisco IP phones and basic video teleconferencing setup
  • Understanding of networking concepts and components (routers, gateways)
  • Ability to handle cabling and aesthetic management of VTC installations
  • Cisco room endpoints via Control Hub
  • Cabling and aesthetics management
  • Comfortable in customer-facing roles

Formal Education:

BS degree or better from an accredited four-year college is preferred.

Certification:

CCNA is preferred. It's a bonus if you also have other certifications and can demonstrate versatility in your ability to contribute to projects across different technologies (networking, security, virtualization, etc.).
