Job description: Sogeti USA is looking for a highly skilled Senior Scrum Master with a solid background in Agile methodologies and at least 2+ years of experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance sector. In this consulting role, you will lead Data Product Teams, driving Agile practices and ensuring timely project delivery for one of our insurance industry clients.

All Sogeti Prospective Candidates Must:

  • Possess a Bachelors and/or Masters Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Must have valid work authorization that does not currently and/or will not require future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the US by Sogeti-Capgemini.

Key responsibilities:

  • Scrum Leadership: Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across teams.
  • Backlog Prioritization: Partner with the Data Product Manager to maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Agile Delivery: Oversee compliance with Agile/Scrum standards, ensuring high-quality work is delivered at the end of each sprint.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously assess and refine Agile processes, identifying areas for improvement to increase team efficiency and productivity.
  • Impediment Removal: Act as the key problem-solver, identifying and resolving any issues that may impede the team’s progress.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Regularly provide progress updates to stakeholders and senior management through automated reporting in Azure DevOps (ADO).
  • Data Product Lifecycle Support: Guide the team through the entire data product lifecycle, from discovery through development, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Tool Utilization: Manage work items, sprints, and backlog using Azure DevOps to track progress and ensure seamless delivery.
  • Change Management: Support the team in adapting to changes in project scope or requirements, ensuring smooth transitions without impacting delivery.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • 5-8+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, with demonstrated expertise in Agile frameworks.
  • 2+ years of experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry is required.
  • Scrum Master certification (e.g., CSM or equivalent certification) is required.
  • In-depth experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) for project and backlog management.
  • Knowledge of data product management practices and Agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a consulting environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in data-focused environments or projects.
  • Good ability to identify dependencies and mitigate risks in a multifaceted work environment.
  • Additional Agile certifications (e.g., CSP-SM, SAFe Scrum Master).

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
